An extensive search of property options was undertaken by Chep's Sydney-based property consultants before the decision was made to partner with Chalmers Properties.
The Sturdee St Development provides Chep with a 1155m2 warehouse, 280m2 office and 1570m2 yard on a site of 4658m2. Chep’s new pallet and container centre will be able to process 640,000 pallets a year.
A complete design and build project the new single-story concrete tilt-slab building was designed to Chep’s specifications to meet their exact requirements.
With sustainability in mind the building is designed to be North facing for maximum solar gain and to avoid prevalent southerly winds in area. The build invests in LED warehouse lighting to minimise ongoing electricity usage.
